Amy was fortunate to find a perfect career match and spent over 12 years as a Human Resources professional. However, her perfect career became less perfect when a 7lb 2oz baby girl came into her life on December 31, 2013.
When Amy returned to work as a Human Resources Director after the birth of her daughter, she was shocked to realize the difficulty faced by new mothers returning to work. She felt disengaged as an employee and was overwhelmed with the stress of balancing two full-time jobs: one at work, and one at home.
Based on her experience as a Human Resources professional, Amy recognized the need for a support system to be created to provide resources to employees faced with the shock of returning to work as new parent and created the ‘BALANCE’ maternity coaching program to provide practical tools for new corporate mothers facing the challenges of returning to work. Amy piloted the BAlANCE program at Shell Oil in 2017 and launched a webinar series in 2018.
